Fundraising Events

Donor events are a great way to get involved with The Magic House, support a wonderful cause and have fun time all at the same time!

The Magic House has three annual fundraising events put on by the museum’s three distinctly different volunteer groups - the Friends Committee, Grand Committee and Kids Committee. The 2012 fundraising events are:

A Grand Candy Ball

The Magic House Grand Committee will host this sweet event for grandparents and their grandchildren. Proceeds from this family-friendly fundraiser will go to the museum’s Grandparents Scholarship Program, which provides learning experiences for disadvantaged children in our community.

Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Art Gala-ry

Art GALA-ry

Hosted by The Magic House Friends Committee
Saturday, September 29, 2012
7:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Paint the town red…and blue, green, yellow and purple at this masterpiece of a party. Guests will have the chance to explore the museum after hours while sipping on creative cocktails, dancing, dining, perusing raffle items and participating in an exciting live auction. Artsy attire is optional for this adult-only party.

The Art GALA-ry focuses on art education and the museum’s mission to encourage creativity. The Art GALA-ry will celebrate grand openings of two art exhibits at The Magic House: The Art of the Brick traveling exhibit and the Art Studio. The Art of the Brick showcases sculptor Nathan Sawaya’s use of the LEGO building block as an artistic medium and features 30 whimsical works created from nearly one million colorful pieces. The Art Studio is a state-of-the-art atelier where budding artists will be able to work with materials and tools not usually available in home or school settings.

The Art GALA-ry will feature a chance to meet The Art of the Brick artist Nathan Sawaya. Proceeds from the Art GALA-ry will support the Art Studio and provide free art experiences for children from underserved schools.

Cost: $150 per adult
Sponsorship opportunities are available.
